Jiaxi Quan has served as the Database Manager of the Kansas City Area Education Research Consortium since May 2011. Prior to joining KC-AERC, she worked at Washington University in St. Louis for two years managing terabytes of heterogeneous research and performing relational database administration and development. She brings experience in building a data pipeline by collecting data from various sources, validating, integrating, processing, and making it searchable through web service. In addition, she has sufficient experience in data mining using a computational approach to facilitate rigorous data-driven research. She received her Doctoral Degree in Bioinformatics at the University of Oklahoma in January 2009, where she spent five years working on large scale genome data management and analysis as well as bioinformatics research.
