Introduction
The Survey Research Center, affiliated with the Institute for Policy &
Social Research at the University of Kansas, is a modern facility
located on the university campus.
The Survey Research Center has the capability of conducting local, state,
national, and international survey research.
From initial question design to a written report complete with statistical
analysis, the University of Kansas Survey Research Center is fully capable
of handling all your research needs.
Our Facilities
Equipped with the latest integrated computer and telephone technologies,
the Survey Research Center features a Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing
(CATI) system that allows survey research to be conducted quickly and
accurately.
A staff of professionally trained survey researchers provides assistance
during all phases of a survey, from initial questionnaire development
to the final report.
The Institute's University of Kansas Survey Research Center offers local,
state, national, and international survey capacity. The center has capabilities
for in-house research, contract research, and assisting other university
units with the following types of surveys:
- Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews
- Focus Groups Interview
- Personal Interview
- Mail
The center has a complete package of survey services that can be tailored
to meet a client's specific needs, including:
- Questionnaire design
- Sampling
- Pretesting of surveys
- Coding and data entry

These services are offered to provide our clients with reliable, valid data
in an easy to understand format they may use to understand a subject and

at the University and state and local government units, as well as some

The surveys we have conducted cover a variety of subjects including consumer
confidence, public transportation, state and local government performance,
workforce skills, education, and healthcare provision among others.
