SAS and DDI

Some tools for using SAS to work with Data Documentation Initiative (DDI) metadata are listed below.

  • SAS2DDI31.sas A SAS program to extract metadata from a SAS dataset and write a DDI 3.1 file. This program will find metadata from system and user formats and has the capability of including a SAS CNTLIN dataset in the DDI file. It will also extract metadata from integrity constraints. Inclusion of the data in the DDI file is an option.

  • Make_SAS2DDI31_TestData.sas A SAS program to generate a test file for SAS2DDI31.sas.
