Welcome to KCCED
The Kansas Center for Community Economic Development (KCCED) was established in 1988 by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration as a partnership between the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. KCCED now functions as part of the Center for Economic and Business Analysis (CEBA) with the Institute for Policy and Social Research (IPSR) at the University of Kansas.
KCCED’s purpose is to extend the application of university expertise in economic development and reinforce local capacities for advancing economic development among Kansas communities. The staff conducts research relating to rural community economic development, provides educational programs and training through conferences and workshops, and offers technical assistance to communities on economic development matters. Services are provided on a contract basis, including data
analysis and on-site strategic
planning facilitation.
