Mark Werthmann

Mark Werthmann is an Economic Development Representative for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration. He assumed his position at EDA in October, 2007. In this capacity he coordinates EDA initiatives with cities, counties, universities and non-profit organizations throughout Missouri and Kansas. His office is located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

He has worked in the economic development field since 1991. Prior to his position with EDA, he served in economic development positions with the City of Leavenworth, Kansas, the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, and the City of Omaha, Nebraska. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP). He and his wife, Suzanne live in Overland Park, Kansas.
