Mike Beene

Mike Beene is the State Operations Director for the Kansas Department of Commerce. His responsibilities involve linking businesses, job candidates, and educational institutions to ensure that Kansas employers can find skilled workers. In addition, Mike serves on all five of the Local Workforce Investments Boards and coordinates initiatives within the Kansas workforce system. He received a B.S. in Agriculture and a M.S. in Secondary Education from Kansas State University. Mr. Beene has taught at the high school, community college, and university levels. In addition, he has served in an administrative role at two Kansas Community Colleges.
