The State Energy Data 2000 Consumption (formerly the State Energy Data Report) offers over 40 energy and chemical variables for every state for the years 1960-2000.  Data can be downloaded in a variety of popular formats as well.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics offers a variety of state-level time-series data on criminal activity and law enforcement management.

The Bureau of Economic Analysis maintains extensive databases relating to state-level economic data, as well as economic BEA Regional Accounts Data (BEARFACTS) for every state, county and metropolitan area.
