The Kansas City, Kansas - KU Community Outreach Partnership Center will provide outreach and technical assistance to community-based organizations in Kansas City, Kansas. The team of five researchers is lead by Ronna Chamberlain (School of Social Welfare) with Co-investigators Thomas Longoria (Department of Public Administration), Ann Weick (School of Social Welfare), Angela Lumpkin (School of Education), and Steven Maynard-Moody (Policy Research Institute and Department of Public Administration). The research team will establish and coordinate this partnership between the University and community groups to address three target areas: reducing truancy, increasing home ownership, and strengthening participation in community-building activities.
